He’d heard Daisy’s screams. They had been making their way through the thick overgrowth when he heard her screams. They hadn’t been soft or subtle. This scream had been one filled with fear, one that sent chills down his spine as he knew his woman was in danger. All he could do was run and get to her as fast as he could.

Kicking open that door, he would never forget the scene of this piece of shit reaching into his pants as he was about to rape his woman. Killing him was the only option.

Luke Senior stopped responding, and as he pulled back, he felt someone grip his arm and turned to see Lash, his father.

There was nothing left of Luke Senior.

“You’ve done good, son,” he said. “It’s over. It’s over.”

Anthony took a deep breath, then another, and he glanced down to see the mess he had made on the floor. His hands were covered in blood. His clothing was covered in blood.

Stepping back from his father, he glanced across the room, and there she was, wrapped in the Skulls leather cut. Her face cut and bleeding. He saw the bruises already starting to appear.

Her gaze was on him. Anthony stepped over the body and advanced toward her. No one stopped him.

Daisy didn’t flinch as he reached out and cupped her face, staring into her brown eyes. They were the same eyes he’d fallen in love with all those years ago. His feelings had not changed. They had only gotten stronger.

She put her hands on his and looked him in the eyes.

“Mine,” he said. “Always ... mine.”

“Always.”

And then he kissed her.

Daisy let out a soft sigh as she sank against him, and then he held her close as he turned to look at Luke.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t protect her,” Luke said.

“Dude, you’re one of us now, you know this. One of us.” He looked at the nails that had been pushed into his hands.

“You did what you could,” Daisy said. She let out a sob, and Anthony kissed the top of her head.

“This is going to hurt like a son of a bitch,” Anthony said.

The guys had already come back with the necessary tools to pull the nails out. “You want us to wait for the ambulance to come?” he asked.

“Fuck, no, just get me out of this fucking thing, and do it fast.”

Anthony watched as Luke clenched his jaw. He was trying to play the part of a big man, and he could appreciate that. Even still, it was hard to watch him suffer.

“Oh, remind me to never mess with Daisy. Fuck me, man, you were a machine.”

Anthony didn’t remember much. All he saw was blood. The need to kill. He had no choice but to protect his woman, and he would do it all over again in a heartbeat. He kissed Daisy’s head.

Luke screamed each time they pulled the nails out of his body. Anthony felt a respect for him building as he did so.

He didn’t want to go to the hospital. All he wanted to do was go home to the Skulls’ clubhouse, and that was exactly where he belonged.

Chapter Twenty-One

Three Weeks Later

Daisy stared at her reflection in the mirror. The dress she’d been given was stunning. The straps fell off her shoulders and lace covered her chest and arms. It was so soft against her skin. It was also tight to her breasts, kind of pushing them together, before flowing out and down. It looked stunning. Angel had outdone herself.

In the past three weeks, not only had Lash removed all punishment, he allowed all of them a full week of sleep. There were no interruptions, no jobs, no humiliation. They could all just be, which she did appreciate. It felt good.

Then of course, he presented them all with their fully patched-in leather cuts, including her, Rachel, and Constance. They were official females of the Skulls. They didn’t have a road name, as that would come in time.

Anthony had been teased that he should be called either Beast or Monster. Daisy didn’t know which name would stick. He’d always be Anthony to her.

“Are you ready?” Tabitha asked.

It was her and Anthony’s wedding. Angel and Lash refused to have another wedding come and go without any celebration. On the day she was taken, Angel was getting her to purchase all the necessary groceries so she could start cooking. She did the same trip three days ago, because Angel decided to wait until her bruises had healed. Unlike Luke who had a few broken bones, and was on several courses of antibiotics as the nails used were filthy and covered in disgusting things. She only had cuts and bruises.

“Yeah, I’m ready.”

Everything was so surreal to her. She was getting married, and just this morning, she had taken a pregnancy test. She was never late. Never, ever, apart from one time, when she had gotten it a day late.
