Let him drown. Let him bleed and beg. I don’t care, so long as I get my release.

He moans in a frenzy, fingers fucking me and tongue licking my clit. Every muscle in my body is pulled tight and I’m like a freaking violin string vibrating. I’ve never been so close to the edge before. Never wanted to drop into black blissful hell. Except now it’s like Cormac’s dragging me into darkness, and all I want is to stay there and be consumed.

“Come for me, baby,” he commands, sounding like he can’t help himself as he keeps fucking me with his fingers. “Come for me, please, you taste so fucking good. I need you to come on my mouth, baby.”

“Oh, god,” I moan, arching into him, eyes rolling back as I finally lose control. “Oh, fuuuuuck, Cormac.”

Heaven hits me. My core clenches and shatters into a hundred thousand pieces on his fucked-up mouth. I come and come, grinding into him, a squealing messy wreck. I make horrifying, impossible noises, the sort of shit I’ll probably feel embarrassed about later, but right now I couldn’t care less. All I want is more of him, more of this, more and more and more.

I gasp, sucking in air, body flushed and ears ringing. My vision’s splitting in half and coming together again. Each blink is like fighting off sleep. He slides his fingers from my pussy with a wet pop and I stare vacant and buzzing as he licks them clean, one after the other.

Savoring me.

What a freaking crazy person.

But I really, really like it.

“What a good girl,” he coos, kissing my belly, my hips, my breasts. “Oh, baby, look at you now. All melted into the bed. You taste so damn incredible. I always dreamed about it, but the real thing is so much better.”

He always dreamed about kissing my pussy? What the freaking heck?

But I’m too lost in the post-orgasm haze to do much more than curl into him as he climbs onto the bed with me. His massive, strong arms pull me against his sculpted chest. I whimper into him, feeling like a lost kitten. I breathe his incredible smell and feel his comforting heat, and what is wrong with me right now, that I feel so safe in the arms of a killer?

Maybe it’s that I believe he’s a straight-up monster, but he’s my straight-up monster.

Can I hate him? And want him too?

He’s everything I’ve always despised about the families.

Except lying here in his arms, I don’t care about any of that. My heart isn’t beating for the mafia.

It’s racing because of him.

Chapter 17

Bianca

“How many lawyers could I hire for like two million dollars?” I ask, frowning down at my computer screen. Behind me, New York’s spread out in the distance, the center of the world’s power, one of the best cities in the world. Second only to my hometown, obviously.

“Depends on how good the lawyers are,” Leo says, frowning at his nail and glancing at his phone. “But we should talk about hires—”

“I need to incorporate as a nonprofit, figure out licensing requirements for residential facilities, look into insurance, find some property—”

“Right, but we’re a food delivery service.” Leo’s eyebrows raise. “You don’t need any of that stuff for what we do.”

I wave a hand in his direction. “Hire people. I don’t care what it costs.”

“That’s not really how this is supposed to work.” Leo clears his throat and leans forward. “You’re the boss, remember?”

“Actually, I’m the name on the paper. I’m the face you’ll trot out from time to time so people actually believe this stupid fiction’s real. But aside from that, I have absolutely zero interest in the success of this business.”

“I understand, but—”

“How exactly do I go about partnering with local police and hospitals? I guess that’s probably a little further down the line.”

He sighs and leans back in his chair. “Do you just want me to figure this out on my own?”

I snap my fingers. “Now you’re getting it.”

“Adriano told me you were going to nitpick everything. This is actually kind of worse.”

“My brother overestimates how controlling I need to be.”

Leo gets up with a grunt. “Look, I don’t know anything about business, okay? I’ll figure it out, but you are going to have to make some decisions.”

I consider that. In some ways, it’s fair. I agreed to this plan mostly so that I could focus on my charitable organization, and that still holds true.

But if this business fails and doesn’t function as a proper front for the Famiglia’s actual activities, I can kiss all that charity bullshit goodbye.

“I’ll help, okay? Send me the business plan my brother put together and make a list of specific tasks that need to get done.”

Leo looks deeply relieved. “You’re going to help out?”

“To a point. Maybe a couple hours a day of work.” I tap my desk and meet his gaze. “But the women’s shelter is my actual priority. You’re going to take lead on the delivery front’s logistics. Between you and Finn, you’ll be fine.”
