A sob breaks free from Kitty, and Bea wraps her arms around her, kissing her temple. They hold each other as Michaels asks their grandchildren if they take each other. After confirming that they do, they exchange rings, a gold band for Jett and a rose-gold one for Fable. Then they’re told they can kiss, and Jett doesn’t hold back. He devours Fable with no concern for who is around them. Fable holds his wrists, kissing him back just as hard and leaving everyone swooning. When they part, their eyes shine with a soul-deep love as they grin at each other while everyone else watches in wonderment.

Jett leans in, pressing a sweet kiss to Fable’s nose before they turn toward the Belles. He lifts her hand as Michaels says, “May I introduce Mr. and Mrs. Jett Thomas Cook.”

The Belles all clap and hoot while Jett looks at Fable. “I love the sound of that.”

She waggles her brows. “I do too. Fable Cook. Hot, right?”

“Perfect,” he answers, bringing the back of her hand to his lips. “Just as you are.”

Fable beams, and then the Belles are attacking them with hugs, kisses, and congratulations. It isn’t until Fable hands Kitty her bouquet of wildflowers, which Jett had picked for her, that Kitty’s brows pinch. “I’m not getting married again.”

Hazel snorts and snatches the bouquet. “I will.”

“To whom? You have four sidepieces!” Maggie scolds, and Hazel sticks out her tongue.

“It’s three, thank you.”

“Three too many,” Bea chides before leaning in to smell the flowers. Kitty is laughing until Fable extends a white envelope to her. Everyone pauses, their eyes wide as Kitty takes in her name that is written in Phillip’s handwriting.

Her heart stops dead in her chest.

With shaky hands, she takes it and asks, “Fable?”

Her granddaughter just shrugs, but a sneaky grin moves across her lips as Jett wraps his arms around her, kissing her jaw. “I don’t know. I was supposed to give it to you today.”

Kitty’s hands shake as she opens the letter quickly, her tears falling just as quickly as she’s met with her love’s handwriting.

My Kitty,

It’s Jett and Fable’s wedding day.

No more guilt, okay?

We did it.

They found each other again, they’re together, and now, you get to watch them grow for the both of us. You get to see a love like ours play out between the two kids we love. I hope you have enjoyed all my letters and know they won’t stop. Just as my love never will.

I love you, my sweet girl, and I’ll always be yours.

Love,

Your Phillip

Kitty’s eyes drift shut as she sighs deeply, his words playing on repeat in her mind. She had held the guilt of what happened between Jett and Fable so close to her heart, but Phillip’s right. They’re married, together, and while they were without each other for so long, she knows they’ll never part. Just as Phillip called Fable Kitty 2.0, she and Jett are Phillip and Kitty 2.0. Her lips tremble as she opens her eyes to look at the two people who continue to bring her such joy.

Through her tears, she finds that Fable is gazing up at Jett with a look that Kitty is well-versed in.

Peace.

Which is all she ever wanted for her granddaughter. She just didn’t realize that Fable’s peace came in the form of a hockey player turned figure skater.

The End.
