My eyes watered. “I’m so glad you’ll be the father. I know you’ll protect him or her. You’ll do your best to love our kid.”
“I will.”
My heart warmed.
“Moni. . .”
“Yes.”
“I love you. . .more than anything.”

“Because you’re my everything.” I cleared my throat. “And. . .”
He quirked his brows.
“We should call Master Wu now.”
He groaned in annoyance. “Goddamn it. I told you not to mention that man’s name—”
“I’m pregnant, baby. I need you healthy and in perfect shape because I’m about to be a hot mess during all of these freaking trimesters. I can already feel all these different hormones bouncing around in me.”

I went over to the other side of the bed and picked up my phone.
