My stomach drops as I run my hand through my hair. “I know. I am trying to get him to tell Natasha before that happens,” I mutter.

Cameron shakes his head in disgust. “Just pay the money and be done with it.”

I frown. “You can’t be that stupid! She will just keep coming back for more money and Natasha will finally find out,” I snap angrily.

“Can you imagine if Natasha sees that tape of him with her? She’ll lose it.”

“There’s a sex tape?” Abbie snaps from behind us. Fuck!

My horrified eyes meet Cameron’s.

“What are you talking about?” Cameron snaps.

“Who’s blackmailing Joshua?” she asks as she puts her hand on her hip. “Has he been fucking around again?” she sneers angrily.

I shake my head as I try to think quickly on my feet. What in the hell did she just hear?

Cameron’s eyes flick to me. “No, of course not!” he snaps angrily. “Stop eavesdropping.”

“You tell me right now or I am going to tell Natasha.” Her angry eyes move between the both of us.

Cameron’s nervous eyes flick to Natasha and Joshua who are now kissing on the dance floor. “I don’t know what you are talking about,” he snaps.

“I’m not stupid and I won’t tell Tash. I mean it, tell me!” Cameron’s eyes meet mine. “It was before he was with

Natasha.”

Abbie narrows her eyes. “Where?” she snaps.

I swallow the lump in my throat. “Here in Australia,” I whisper quietly.

She narrows her eyes. “Go on,” she sneers.

“Joshua was with a girl before he was with Natasha at the wedding,” Cameron says nervously as I take a drink.

“Yes, TC the prostitute,” she says.

Cameron frowns. “TC? What does that mean?”

She pulls a disgusted face. “Tunnel cunt.”

I spit my drink out and Cameron bursts out laughing. “That about sums it up actually.” He laughs.

“Anyway, she had a camera in her bag and now wants five million dollars or she is going to send the tape to Natasha at work,” Cameron sighs.

Abbie narrows her eyes as she puts her hands on top of her head in frustration. “She’s such a bitch,” she snaps.

I frown. “You know her?”

She nods. “Unfortunately, yes, she does this shit often, blackmails men to get what she wants. She’s sleeping with my roommate.” My horrified eyes meet Cameron’s.

“You know where she lives?’ I stammer.

“No, but I can find out. If she thinks she’s doing this to Natasha she has another think coming. That bitch is going down. Leave this to me and don’t you dare pay her one cent and don’t tell Joshua I know.”

Cameron’s eyes flick to me. Shit, now we have done it.

Abbie storms off through the crowd.

“That’s going to backfire,” Cameron snaps.

“Tell me about it,” I stammer as I feel a hand snake around my waist from behind. Nicholas leans into my ear. “Hello,” he smiles.

I smile warmly over my shoulder. “Hello.”

Cameron’s eyes light up. “Hello, Nick, nice to see you.”

They shake hands. I put my hand out and he smiles at me and then leans in and kisses my cheek. ‘I don’t think so,” he whispers into my ear.

I swallow uncomfortably and step back as my eyes drop to the perfect specimen before me, tall and dark in full naval whites. I feel myself harden.

His eyes drop down my body as he takes a sip of his drink and he licks his bottom lip seductively. “I like your outfit,” he smirks.

I smile nervously as my eyes flick to Cameron who smiles into his drink. “Thanks.” My heart rate just picked up by thirty beats per second. Why does he make me feel like this?

“Are you having a good time?” he asks.

“Amazing,” Cameron answers. “How many years have you been doing this event?”

He and Cameron start to talk but I can’t concentrate on the conversation. Every one of my senses is standing to attention. I have never had such a physical reaction to any person before and it’s very unsettling. He’s taller than me and lean but it’s his intelligence and confidence that arrests me and holds me captive. I’m so nervous I feel like I can’t breathe.

Nicholas’s eyes flick intermittently to me as he talks to Cameron. What’s he thinking? I really should be joining in the conversation, but I can’t even talk. This is ridiculous. As he continues to talk to Cameron, he puts his hand out and gently runs it up and down my arm. Cameron’s eyes meet mine as he smirks at me. Fuck, Nicholas is a confident bastard.

His hand finds the bottom of my arm and he links our hands. “Can I steal you for a moment?” he asks.

Cameron smiles. “I’m going to the bar. He’s all yours.” He walks off.

He smiles broadly at me. “All mine, hey?” His eyes drop to my lips. “I like the sound of that.”

I swallow nervously.

“Come, I want to show you something.” He pulls me by the hand through the crowd and I reluctantly follow. I can feel the gaze of people on my back as we get to a door which he opens. As he ushers me into a staircase and starts to walk up it, the door opens behind me and my two security guards walk in. Nicholas turns to them annoyed. “Can we have some privacy please?” he asks me with a raised eyebrow.
