Her entire world shrank to the expanse of his shower. Forgetting everything else, Caroline could only focus on the sensations building inside her from her devastatingly skilled lover. Her first orgasm crashed over her without warning, making her cry out. The sound echoed on the hard surfaces and faded into oblivion as he drove her toward another.
Each round of pleasure blended into the next until she was forced to beg, “Wraith, come. I can’t take any more.”
“One more, Precious. Join me,” he commanded as he increased the speed of his thrusts.
She nodded, wanting to please him. His hand, supporting her bottom, traced the cleft between her buttocks. Caroline had never played this intimately before. She held her breath as his finger drew close to her tightly clenched opening. Wraith wasn’t dissuaded by her attempt to keep him out. He pressed that fingertip, slick with her juices, to that nerve-rich ring of muscles.
That was the last sensation she needed to orgasm. Caroline clamped around his thick shaft, and his cock swelled inside her and coated her walls with hot fluid. When his movements slowed, Wraith rested his head on her shoulder as he recovered his strength.
“So good,” he whispered against her skin. It sounded like every ounce of his strength had evaporated.
“Let me down, Daddy.”
Nodding, he eased her feet back to the ground. Caroline reached for his bodywash and smoothed it over his torso, removing the last vestiges of his day so he could rest.
“Thank you, Precious,” he whispered as he ushered her out of the shower and dried their skin with soft, thirsty towels.
“Bed, Daddy.” Linking her fingers with his, she led him from the bathroom.
He paused for a second to turn on a nightlight near the bathroom entrance. She stared at him. How did he know she had nightmares in the pitch dark?
“I guarantee the only monster in here that eats Little girls is me,” he told her, making her giggle.
After a firm pat on her bottom, Wraith threw back the covers, taking care not to toss Jam from the bed, and urged Caroline into the crisp sheets before crawling in after her. He drew her close and pulled up the soft bedding before wrapping her in his arms and pressing a kiss on her forehead.
“Sweet dreams, Little girl.”
“Sweet dreams, Daddy.”
CHAPTER 10
Wraith’s alarm sounded early the next morning. He kissed her before rolling out of bed. “Go back to sleep, Caroline. Call me when you wake up.”
Closing her eyes in the dark room, she crashed into sleep. When she woke, the room was brightly lit. Caroline stared at the clock. 9:00 a.m.? That couldn’t be right.
“Wraith?” she called, pushing herself up to sit in the middle of the spacious bed. No one answered.
Sliding out of bed, she opened a couple of drawers, searching for something to wear. When she found a T-shirt, Caroline pulled it over her head. Her first stop was the bathroom. Then she toured through the cabin, double-checking she was alone. On the kitchen counter sat a note.
Good morning, Caroline,
It was difficult to leave you this morning. Give me a call.
Daddy
He’d plugged her cellphone in for her a few inches away. Picking it up, she selected his number. He answered on the second ring.
“Precious.”
She loved the warmth in his gravelly voice. “Hi, Daddy. I finally woke up.”
“I zapped your energy, Little girl.”
“Zapped. Is that what they call that?” she teased.
“It’s become my favorite new term. There’s breakfast for you in the refrigerator.”
“You didn’t have to do that,” she protested, touched he had taken the time to do that for her in the early morning hours.
“Daddy’s job. Eat and then relax. I won’t be home too late.”
“I’m going to head back to my apartment to write,” she said quickly. She couldn’t lounge around all day in his place while he worked.
“If you have to. I’d like you to pack some things and stay with me for a while. Bring your computer. You can create at my place. I like having you close.”
“Like a couple of days?” she asked, trying to figure out what he had in mind.
“As long as you’ll stay, Little girl. I’d like to have you with me.”
“I’ll go home and grab a few outfits. Can we talk about this when you’re back?” she asked.
“I think that’s a very good idea. They have your name at the gate to come and go as you like. I’ll be back at the cabin around five, Caroline.”
“I miss you, Daddy.”
“You have no idea how hard it was to leave this morning, Precious. I’ll be there as soon as possible.”
She stared at the phone for a long time after she’d disconnected. Should she move in? Her apartment definitely didn’t hold any appeal for her. This cabin seemed much more like home than her place ever had. It had simply been a shelter to live in when her marriage had crumbled.
