That had to be a better way to do it.

“That omegaverse thing.” Micha answered entirely too easily…explaining what he’d been doing with my Kindle when I’d woken up earlier. “What if I took you to the doctor because I hadn’t bred you yet? He’d have to examine you and I’d have to…do things…I want you carrying my baby, don’t I?”

Oh wow.

Reading was so educational.

“I…” It wasn’t until Micha snickered and tugged me over to a picnic table that I realized I’d stopped right in the middle of the path. “I…”

Swallowing, I forced my brain to go back to work since it wasn’t the right time for it to take a vacation. “That would fall under the professionals rule and you’d be right there with me controlling the scene. So not cheating under several categories.”

Ha. Full sentence and I hadn’t tried to grab my dick.

I hated it when he was right…we should’ve done this at home so I could’ve made him give me a thorough description of that scene.

Micha’s near giggle said he was thinking the same thing…and it meant he’d stopped being worried and insane. “Okay. I’m going to stop obsessing over your definition and we’re just going to agree to discuss it on a case-by-case basis. Nothing in pup and little time is cheating as long as you don’t let anyone else give you a bottle and snuggle you.”

Finally.

“I agree completely. Wholeheartedly. I even promise to be reasonable if something goes pear-shaped.” Ha. I remembered not to say fucked up at the zoo.

Rolling his eyes again, Micha finally looked less insane. “Scenes can be designed where they need a third party in a professional capacity, like a lawyer or doctor.”

“Doctor. That’s the…yeah…the doctor.” That needed to be top on the list so he knew not to forget it. “Didn’t the club have a doctor’s office room?”

I’d read some of the information he’d given me…just not the stressful bits.

Wearing a wicked grin, Micha nodded slowly. “It does. It’s a very well-designed room and even has an exam table with stirrups.”

Oh wow.

We really should’ve had the conversation at home…what had he been thinking letting us do it in public?

He needed to take care of me better.

“I…” What had he asked me? “Yes. I think reviewing the situation one scene at a time would be good. And…and when we get home, you can go into that omegaverse one in more detail. We’ll…we’ll use that as our example and practice with it.”

Micha’s devilish grin sent a shiver through me. “Rethinking that we can have the talk in public thing, aren’t you?”

He was such a brat.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Ugh.

Now I had to keep us at the zoo all day.

He was such a butthead.

But I loved him and he was funny and sweet and most of the time took pretty good care of me.

“I love you.” I might not love him after we’d spent all day at the zoo, though, but that would be his problem, so I decided I didn’t have to worry about the consequences of his actions.

His bad decision, his consequence.

“You made that sound dangerous.” Narrowing his gaze at me, he frowned. “Take it back.”

Yep, he was insane but I loved him.

“Never.”

I was going to love him forever and ever no matter what.

Conner’s Question

Some people were definitely more interesting than others. “He described his type of submission as pain in the ass.”

Every answer in the application I’d been looking over got more and more ridiculous. As a brat myself, I definitely approved, but as the owner of a BDSM club it left me somewhat conflicted.

Ben barked out a laugh, looking up from the spreadsheet he’d been studying. “Sounds like someone you’re going to get along with.”

Honestly, yes.

“That’s what I thought too.” And I’d been having entirely too much fun looking over it…so much fun, I’d started to forget it was from a real person who wanted to come to the club.

Still grinning, Ben leaned back in his chair. “What did his partner write?”

“Caretaker Dom slash Daddy slash drama queen wrangler.” They were obviously a perfect match.

“So someone I might like. Got it.” Shaking his head, Ben took a moment before he realized I’d first interrupted him with an actual question. “What was your question? You asked me something. Sorry.”

To say he was distracted would’ve been an understatement, so I decided another type of distraction was in order. Carefully setting the tablet on the coffee table, I slowly got to my feet and as I started across the living room, I thanked every ancient god I could think of that I hadn’t changed out of my heels as soon as we’d gone upstairs.
